Ok heres the deal...my truck has been wounded again..for those of you who don't know this is the 2nd wreck..neither my fault..my truck has been in in the past 6 months..while its in the shop I'm puttin a few things on it. They are putting a whole new bed on it so I'm getting the polished billet fuel door..where can I get it and how much? Also I am getting the rear dropped another 2 in w/ hangers..probably from Aim Industries and a 3 in drop up front..they also have 3 in drop coils for 79 dollars but I am curious about the quality of the springs I have not heard anything bad about them but still wondering who else makes 3 in drop springs and how much they are and where I can get them. Also I have the line mod valve from steeda I am installing w/ the 4x4 pan w/ the tranny drain plug..wheres the best place to get the pan? Last but not least ..gears.who has them how much for install?steeda has 4.10 and 4.30 gears..this is going to be a street/strip truck..I probably dont get more than 15 mpg right now so losin a mile or 2 won't upset me does anybody have 4.30 gears? Did you top out in the 1/4? I believe the gears from steeda are richmond 4.10 are 200 and the 4.30 are 220 lockers will come later because traction is not a problem right now. I now this is a lot but truck will be in shop till late sept. early october at least so I figured I would get as much done as I could while they have it because labor is gonna be covered by the insurance company..: )
OK forgot to tell about my truck...its a black 99 reg cab stepside w/ the 5.4 and 3.55's. I have a k&n fipk, true dual exhaust no pipes(flowmaster mufflers), swapped my front end out for a lighning front end w/ polished upper and lower grilles and a black rear bumper..I also have belltech 2 in drop shackles.

Don`t use the Aim springs on your truck, there junk. A friend of mine put a set of Aim springs on his 2000 f150 ( 1" drop ) and he ended up breaking one of his front shocks. The material that they use is thiner than the stock springs. When I lowered my 2001 f150 I used Hotchkis springs, they make top quality lowering springs.
I hope this helps.
Larry.
