Thumbs up He's Back !

Awsome Bill from Dawsonville wins the Brickyard. Those 5 or 6 years of agony are finally over with. I know there are some Elliott fans out there so lets hear it for the 46 year old driver from GA. Finally has the equipment to showcase his talents.

you know...I'm starting to think he is a better driver when he doesn't own the team...It is great to see him winning again....it sucks to be a fan of a losing driver

It was a great race, you wouldn't have believed how hot it was.. 98 degrees at the green flag and the high humidity... yep, that was me you saw sitting in the fourth turn... had pit passes for the Busch race at IRP the night before...

I don't think Jarrett had anything for Elliot anyway.. he was awesome, even when the car got really loose side by side with Stewart in turn 4.....

Yeah I saw that at the beginning of the race when Tony (the whiner) Stewart was racing elliott like it was the last lap. Bill was under him and was working the wheel pretty good. I remember watching qualifying for the Southern 500 back in 95 or 96 and Bill got completely sideways off turn 2, never lifted out of the throttle. Only a few guys I can think of could've saved that car, Gordon, Earnhard Sr. Maybe Mark Martin. The camera was in pit lane and you could read the passenger side quarter panel that said McDonalds lol.

I was all Hyped up about how Mark Martin was doing Sunday and then with 30 some laps to the finish his engine starts to let go! I don't think he had the car to win but he had a car to finish in the top 5 and take a Big bite out of Sterling Marlin points lead at the time. But as all those who saw or heard the race Awesome Bill had the car ALL DAY LONG. When that green flag waved for the start, Bill had the car hands down!!!
