Help me find an excersize bike!

I want to get the electromagnetic type with maybe some good terrain settings (programmable) I can't afford more than about $400 and want to be able to get one at a local department store or somewhere convenient. I'm sure there are people here that use one regularly. Hope there are some good ideas out there.

why not just get a REAL bike that will actually take you somewhere ... get some sunshine ... get some fresh air ... meet some other people ... see something other than the 4 walls of the room it's in ...

sorry , I just don't get why people want useless things like treadmills, stairclimbers, rowing machines, exersise bikes ... leave that stuff in the gym ... get outside , walk , run , paddle , bike ... you will get alot more out of the experience !

You could always get an old Chevy to push for that kind of money. Hey, it's a thought.

I don't like the idea either; however, I'm too busy to ride and get the great benefits of a terrain program that the stationary bikes give. I get WAY better conditioning this way. I ended up getting a Nordic Trak recumbant for half price. Very nice unit. I'm getting ready for snowmobile season...very aggressive riding and great conditioning; and it's outdoors. Now, if they only had an indoor snowmobile snocross terrain excercise sled!

If you have a nice spacious foyer, just get a nice coat tree instead. More practicla, and takes up less room than a bike.
Also, it holds more coats than one on each handle bar, and one draped accross the seat.

Thumbs up

I do a lot of mental exercises.
I can't send you a pic of the results because my head is bigger than your monitor.

I second the real bike. It will be much more enjoyable and work things the stationary bike wont work. If winters are bad, you can just get a pedestal (sp?) for it so you can still ride indoors.

my Schwinn MESA GSX is for sale $$$
