nasty

Well, last night somewhere around 11pm someone hit a moose. It is about half a mile from my house and does it ever stink. It looks like they took off the rear half of the animal, the whole road is reddish brown with blood, there was an ambulance, 2 cop cruisers, a fire truck, and a game warden there when I went by. Doesn't look like anybody was hurt but you kinda need to feel for the animal, it had to hurt.

That's awful news. I feel for the poor thing. What kind of vehicle hit the Moose? And how bad did it tear up the vehicle?

I'm not exactly sure of the car, it looked like a subaru station wagon (old model) but it was behind an f250 with high beams on. So I couldn't see very well.

Here in Tennessee the deer roam freely on the roads. And I live right next to Virginia state park on the border of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia where highway 58 runs. Every night while driving down 58, I see deer everywhere. The road goes right along the mountains and it stays foggy at night. And that's when the deer come out. It's a miracle that I have'nt hit one yet. But I've came to a complete stop to keep from hitting one once. Even when I stopped, my headlights were shining right in the deer's face and it did'nt move until I laid down on my horn.

From: Houston, by way of every major city in America.
My truck has almost been taken out (or vice versa) twice by our antlered friends. Once was about three years ago in Green Bay Wisconsin, broad daylight, woods on both sides of the highway. I was driving along minding my own business, and here it came, same color as the grass(tan/brown) I had just enough time to lay on the horn and brake at the same time. Barely missed (WHEW!!) The second time was around College Blvd. in Kansas City. I pulled off the freeway into a neighborhood full of apts. and stores. I had just merged onto the surface road, when this BIG buck came bounding out of nowhere. I laid on the horn again this time, and he bolted back from where he came. Lucky both times!!! I'd hate to take out a large animal with my truck. I'd feel bad for the poor defensless animal, and my truck would be a mess, LOL!,,,,98

You can buy these things at the dollar store.
They stick on under your bumper, and makes a weird sound as the air passes through it.
You can't hear it, but the wildlife can.
When they hear the high pitch noise, for some reason, it gets them moving along.

These things really work.

2 bucks can literally save your life.

Theres not enough left for a dinner. I have tried some before (not road kill) and I hated it, tasted like I was chewing on a swamp. I have some pics when I get the film developed.
