Thumbs up Summer Vacations

After four long miserable years buying up and remodeling every piece of rental property I can find, getting married, buying a house, rebuilding a relationship with my daughter, and running a carpet cleaning business, I am finally taking a nice vacation. I will be gone for almost three weeks and I have money to stay in nice places instead of busting my *** to get to where ever we are going to stay with family. My wife and I are going to

Kitty Hawk, NC
Washington, DC
NYC
All throughout OHio
Nashville Tennesee
Back to my hometown of Carrollton Ga.
Billoxi, Mississippi
and back home to Florida

at least that is the plan, we are just going to take our time and go where the road takes us with a stop in OHio to attend a wedding on July 6th. My wife is a mortgage broker she definitely needs a break. We never got a honeymoon because of the rentals. I am cashing in a few favors, grabbing the Counting Crows CD, and we are hopping in the Highlander tomorrow.

I can't even begin to describe how excited I am.

Hope everyone enjoys their summer vacations, wherever they take you.

SEACROW - HAVE a BLAST guy -

I had my own business for 15 years - I know what you mean about NO VACATIONS.

Don't save everything for that rainy day.

Good ole ***** sezs - Live every day like it was your last - for one day it will be.

I'll be going to Pigeon Forge in Gatlinburg, TN to rent a log cabin way back in the Smoky Mountians. Whew! I'm finally going to get some peace and quiet. If the bears don't pay me a visit!!!

Thumbs up

Sounds like a fun trip.

My squaw and I are heading up to Eureka Springs, Arkansas for a 5-day stay at a cabin resort place. Man, I can't even begin to tell y'all how ready I am for some peace and quiet.

I spent vacation this year building a fence between thunderstorms. It's still not done.

I went to the Smokies last year, rented a condo up in the mountains. The traffic in Pigeon Gorge sucks!!! ask a local for directions on the sideroads to get off the main drag. My wife went to the grocery on the weekend and it took her 6 hours to get into town; during the week it only took about 20 mins to get town. The bagger at the store told her how to get around town, and it only about 30 mins to get back. I was there the weekend of car show, and I almost parked on top of couple different lowered POS cars.

Hey Duck

What's the name of the place you are staying in Eureka? My wife and I got married in Eureka, and go back there on our anniversary most years. A good place to go if you don't want to do ANYTHING! [Well, anything in public, anyway...]

And if you so desire, it is close enough to Springfield to make a pilgrimage to my outdoor mecca...Bass Pro!
