Ca. court of appeals voted just now that reciting the Pledge of Allegiance is UNCONSTITUTIONAL in school! Someone just flushed this big toilet we live in. What next? I'm not the best guy you'll ever meet but you still need to maintain some standards.

WHY IN THE HECK IS THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE UNCONSTITUTIONAL?!?!?! THOSE FRIGGIN BLEEDING HEART LIBERALS MUST NOT THINK ITS POLITICALLY CORRECT OR SOMETHING BECAUSE IT SAYS GOD. JEEZ THIS PISSES ME OFF.

These people abuse the very freedoms that this country affords them to have! It's wrong, and I don't give a frogs fat a$$ who disagrees with me!
If you pray to buddah, substitute Buddah into the pledge.
If you pray to Mohammed, put his name in the pledge.
I don't care WHO you pray to. . .but if you're gonna live here and drink from the prosperous USA cup, then your gonna pledge allegiance dammit!!!!
Or did our fathers and grandfathers bleed and die on the shores of Normandy for nothing. . .?

I wonder if our WWII gereration looks around this country and wonders where in the world they are! The things they fought for and the beliefs this country always held high are being so shredded.
One person caused this.....bet he is on a power trip right now. Guess he is hoping to be the next Madeline Murray O'Hare. I sure feel sorry for his little second grade daughter!

It's the country of CA..what did you expect
It's CA. They don't voice it as much as TX does, but they want to be their own country. Look at the laws they make day in and day out.
I say cut them off. Put up a boarder with the gaurds we don't really need at the US / CAN boarder, and turn them back when they want to cross into the US.
Let them try to work on their own, when the lights go black...we can all just laugh at them. Then again some congressman would want to send them aid money..so it might not make a difference anyway.
As you can tell I am not big on CA, and working / having worked for CA companies I don't care to go to coporate HQ too often.
Just my 2 cents on the STATE, not the people that live there, even though they do elect the goverment...<g>

I can see how it would be a little weird for maybe someone who is muslim and prays to Ala(sp?) It should just be fill in the blank.

Canadians know what your going through, it started here well over 15 years ago; "Political Correctness" was born, and continues to squash everything in its path like a steam-roller.
Here is an example that says it all:
Canada's federal police force, the R.C.M.P. has been around since 1874.
They have special uniforms, and are required to maintain a dress code that keeps within its code of conduct and history.
Like America, Canada is a melting pot of immigrants from all over the world. Western Canada in particular has a large population of Sikhs. These immigrants from India practice a religion called Sikhism.
They wear turbans because their religion forbids them to cut their hair, so the turban keeps a lifetime of hair all neat and tidy. They are also required to carry a small dagger; There is a name for it, I can't remember what it is though.
So what happens when a Sikh joins the RCMP?
In 1990 Baltej became the first Sikh RCMP officer allowed to wear a turban.
The lawyers argued feverishly and said it infringed on his rights not to be allowed to wear their turbine while on duty.
Me? I don't have a problem with any religion or nationality, I could care less if you bow down to a giant pink elephant, or pray to Sun God; May all your hopes and prayers be answered.
I have a problem with immigrants taking advantage of the same tolerant society who let them in, gave them an opportunity to make a better life for themselves, and their families.
As soon as they get their foot in the door, they rally together and try to make everything the way it was back home.
Political insanity knows no limits.

Self-correcting problem
I do not comment on politics or viewpoints as a rule, but here is some insight.
It is illegal to operate a bicycle w/out a helmet in BC. Except if you wear a turban.
This means the laws have already changed to accomodate people coming here from other countries.
The latest emmigration laws are structured such that most of our current politicians would not be able to come to Canada.
