Modifying Fireworks

Hey everyone,
4th of July is right around the corner so I though I would bring up fireworks. I, of course, am not going to be using fireworks but I am still intrseted in knowing what some of you do to them to make them a little better. Me and a few friends, i mean my friends, came up with something that makes a big bang! If you want to know what it is email me. I dont think everyone wants to hear it. What do you guys do to make firworks better, if anything?

Well when I was younger and in a more pyro state of mind I used to soak them in gas then let them dry outside then let them rip a few hours later.

Be very carfeul with gun powder and gas!!!!!!

25 shot pack of "Battle Of Colors". Shoots up in the air and makes a BIG LOUD BOOM.

take them apart and tape a wick on the powder part... tape it to a full can of paint then put it under a upside down wheelbarrow. lite it and step back.... it will blow a hole in the paint can and cause it to explode. the wheelbarrow lifts up off the ground 2 feet and a 30ft. tall mushroom BLACK cloud goes up.

BE WARN... it is still on fire when the wheelbarrow falls back down in the same spot. IT WILL BURN THE GRASS. but;......

whatever color paint you use.... IT will color the entire inside of a wheelbarrow that color perfect!!!... cured and all since the fire bakes it on there.

found this out when I was 15. Don't lift the wheelbarrow up facing you... flames shoot out and if you were like me wearing shorts... your legs will be bald the rest of the summer.

I have many other stories. My best friends dad has 20+ firework stands and me and my buddy always worked at the warehouse. Payment: 1 box that we can fill everyday .... god we would stuff that freaking box and made things fit perfect.

Talking Pyro here

Here is something for you guys to try.........

My dad (works for a die company as a welder) cut me a piece 3/4" thick tube. The inside diameter of the tube is 1". There is a hole drilled through the sidewall of the tube for a wick at the bottom and a post welded to the bottom to jam in the ground. The top is left open for a reason. Fill it with gunpowder (can be bought at Meijer), put a wick in the bottom and pack it tight with small pieces of newspaper. I have done it for years and still have the loudest fireworks on the block

Just don't put anything over the top to "cork" it or it might become like a pipe bomb (maybe that's why he used 3/4" thick material). Anyway the pipe is like 8" long and I fill it with 4" of gunpowder and pack the rest........trust me it is VERY loud. People come out of their house for blocks wondering what is going on and my neighbors are like

Oh make sure you get Type P gunpowder (it is the faster burning powder)

Happy 4th......

Heres mine, i just copied it from an email i sent to someone...

We took picolo petes(the things that whistle) and cut them open in the middle. Then you get all the powder out using a hammer or pliers or something. Then you put all the powder into some sort of bottle that closes(my friends have used anything from film cases to those huge water jugs you get delivered your house). Then, take a torche lighter and heat up the middle of the top hot enough so that it semi melts. Stick a fuse into the melted part of the top, it should go right through and you should see it poke through the other side of the top, then when it cools down, the plastic hardenes with the fuse in it. Then put all the gun powder(the white stuff only, not the orange) into the bottle. The more you have the bigger the bang. After you put the powder in the bottle, screw tha cap onto the bottle and tape the cap and the bottle together real tight. When your done, you will have a bottle with gunpowder in it tapped up with a fuse sticking out the top. BEFORE YOU LIGHT IT, BE PREPARED TO RUN!!!!!
Put the bottle upside down(lean it up against a curb or something), light it, then run like hell. The first time my friends did this, they only used one picolo peter. I was expecting a little bang, but boy was I in for a huge surprise! This thing was louder than hell. So if you do it, be prepared for a loud noise. My friends did one huge one last year. 110 picolo petes in one of those huge 3 or 4 gallon water bottles. That thing was soooo big. The fuse lasted about 5 minutes. We were all(there was about 60 of us)at least 100 feet away and we all felt the shockwave. So if you do this be carefull and always be safe. If you dont feel comfortable running or think your too slow dont do it.

I plan on doing a bigger one this year. But where can I get just plain old gunpowder from around here. Bay area. Should my local gun shop have it???

A long time ago we peeled 1,000 firecrackers and put the powder into an emply shell. We packed firecrackers in the hole tied the fuses together and made a long fuse. It made a huge boom and had about a 10 foot by 10 foot flash and equal sized black cloud. It was a lot of work for 5 seconds of fun.

my cousin and i (hehehe im goin to his house for 4th of july ) took a bunch of bottle rockets and m80s and tied GI Joe dolls to them. it look like 10 bottle rockets to launch one and 1 m80 taped on the front. well it went up but we didnt see anything come down. the best thing is takin the stick outta the bottle rocket and lighting it and shoving down a PVC pipe and point it somewhere. you dont know where its gonna go after it leaves the pipe. he also had these ones that will stay lit under water....SO we went and dropped a bunch in a metal bucket. the bucket cant hold water anymore

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!
