What's a good price on a new F150?
I'm going to help my Dad find/ buy a new F150 this weekend. He wants a 4x2 supercab w/ styleside and a V8. We will be looking in the Columbus, Ohio area. Does anyone know where there are some good deals right now? I know there is a $3000 factory rebate right now, but how much below that should I look for?
Thanks,

If you're going to buy it this weekend, then you are not going to get the best possible deal.
If you are patient, you can go to 10 different Ford dealerships and make the sales people invest time in you. Then get different bids from all of the dealerships and have them compete against each other for the lowest price. Even of they sell it to you below invoice, they are still making a profit.
-Always be willing to walk away.
-Ask a lot of questions about everything you can think of to take up time.
-Read the contract.
-Have your financing arranged before you go to the dealer but let them see if they can offer lower interest rates.
You can build a new F-150 at www.cars.com and find out what the invoice price is.
***I was looking at Jeep Wrangler recently and over the period of 2 weeks I worked with 3 dealerships and starting with the invoice price, I eventually had a price about $2000.00 below invoice with all the options I wanted.***
Or you can do what my father does. Look for you favorite color and say: "I'll take that one."

You can also show him www.ford.com , this will give you all the options that each various package has on them (XL, XLT, Lariat, FX4, etc.). You can also build a truck there as well.
