not real sure about super charger applications but, just curious, you didn't mention if the bottom half of the motor had already been built. what pistons, rings, cam, rockers, valves, exhaust etc. sounds like a good start though.

8 71 is a BIG blower if this is a street application. 6 71 is probably a little more common. If it's race, race then that's another story.

that is what the Rotating Assembly is. the 5th thing on the list. with everything i mentioned there plus the block i will not have a "complete" engine but i will be pretty damn close.

heres a link to the rotating assembly

sorry i have no clue if it would work or not, but DAMN that would be one sick engine! like someone said, an 8-71 might be a bit overkill for the street. if you plan to use the engine for racing, then why not go with a 383 or even a 427 BB? just curious, good luck!

i was thinking about a 383. i found this kit which may or may not be low enough compression. 9.6:1? What do you guys think?

im no engine expert so dont take my advice, but i dont think youre gonna take full advantage of that blower with 9.6:1 compression. usually optimum compression with forced induction is 8.5-9.0 . just a thought, good luck with the motor!

yeah thats what i was thinking. thats whay i was leaning towards staying at 350 instead of going to 383. does anyone know of any 383 kits that have an 8.5 compression ratio?

i saw in some magazine a 383 stroker kit for chevy 350's that was all forged internals and had 9.0:1 compression. i cant remember for the life of me where i saw it, but if i see it again ill be sure to post it.
