Question Anyone seen this before?

I live in the bay area and have seen several f150's with a badge on the fender that says "LOBO", has anyone seen this before? Just curious, maybe its some kind of local thing? It sits right under the f150 fender badges and it looks factory?

Thumbs up

LOBO translated means "WOLF".
It is on the F150's built in Mexico.
The F150's built in Norfolk and Kansas City don't have anything like that under the F150 badge.

The F150s built in Canada have "eh" under the badge.
It's hard to see but, it's there.

That would be very depressing for me.

Ford Mexico offers the Lobo, which is very similiar to the F-150 but has some minor differences, such as a full-width sun roof. The Lobo comes in regular, extended and crew cab configurations and offers either the 4.6L or the 5.4L V8 engine. Trim levels include LTH, Sport or Lariat. The Lobo also comes in the Harley Davidson edition. The F-150 and F-250 trucks are seen more as the work truck line and the Lobo makes up the "passenger" or "luxury" pickup truck marque.

I believe those are Mexicans, Intel486. From what I've heard, there are quite a few of them in Mexico.

These are Mexicans:

Whats great is that one could get a single cab 2 wheel drive with a 5.4 L engine. Correct me if im wrong but, here one can only get 4.6L for 2 wheel drive(except the Lightning).

Blowntruck,

Not sure about the current year, but up to the 99 you could get a 4X2 reg cab with 5.4. See my sig. I know after the 99 model year the reg cab Lariat was discontinued, but not sure about the availability of a 5.4 in a reg cab 4X2.

JA,

WoW, that is cool. I was almost postive there wasn't any. Before my Lightning I wanted a flareside 2WD with a 5.4. Was told there was no such thing, so I settled for 4.6 flareside.

I just checked at the ford.ca website, and here you can order a 4x2 regular cab with the 5.4. (Only in XL and XLT trim lines)
. Lariet is supercab only.
