Question Mounting CB RADIO

I am looking into mounting a cb radio in a 1997 F150. The front hump appears to be the best location. Is anyone aware of some sort of console / bracket for mounting the cb on the hump? Also, open for suggestions for other locations.

I can't post pictures yet, but when I can, I will show you a console
I built from wood and covered with matching gray carpet.
It can open to store flash light, phone charger, etc. I mounted
a corba cb on top useing stock cb bracket. I have a (3) way plug
mounted on the side for the power outlet. I use this for the power to the cb, phone charger and radar det. It is also easy to
put in and take out. Cost was around $15.00 to finish. Will try
to have my daughter take picures to post ASAP. It really looks factory and I have a lots of people ask where they could buy one.

Wayne,

I use a mount from Radio Shack . . . holds the CB at the right angle . . . mounted an external speaker to the front . . . use a lighter plug for power . . . put some velcro on it so it stays in place . . . easy in and out . . . !

Please post some pics of your CB box. I am trying to build one myself. Kinda got started, but then found out that the distance from the dash to thehump in the center is different lengths from drivers side to passenger side. Held off building for now.
