"Stoopid" people and their amazing feats!

Got a quick story for ya. I'm sitting at home Sunday afternoon
when my wife comes running into the living room screaming
that someone's car is on fire in front of our house. I run and look
and see a 1980's Nissan Sentra with the trunk open and a small
fire by the rear light. I also see a BBQ Grill sticking out!! Can
you see where this is heading? I grab the fire extinguisher and
head for the car. By this time the whole trunk is full engulfed and
the fire is into the back seat. I get the hysterical woman to back
off and leave it to burn. The flames were too much for my fire
extinguisher so I also back off. The fire dept. arrives and puts
out the fire in only a few minutes. The car was gutted by the
fire and the lady is flailing about in the street. She was crying
and screaming all over the place. Turns out, this woman had
put a charcoal-filled grill into her trunk after a cookout earlier
in the day. Once she started down the road the coals were lit
up again by the wind going through her open trunk.
UNBELIEVEABLE, but true!

I saw a guy parked @ subway once. He had loose coals in the bed. aparently sitting in the sun on a Black Bedliner was enough to start the coals up. i saw it walked into Subway, asked if they had a Fire extingusher, they said NO. i said "You're Lying" grabbed a couple of cups, filled them with coke and sprite, adn went out there and put out the fire. Once I got back in subway I told the employees that it was fire code that they had to have an extingisher. i should've called the fire Marshall on them. The owner showed up a few minutes later and wondered what all the commotion was about.

I managed to snap a few pics of the unbelievable event and
I'm gonna drop them off at the local paper today. Who knows,
maybe I can make a few bucks? I'll try to get them linked up
after Wednesday so ya'll can take a look.

Thanks trapper.
Bunch of relatives showed up this weekend and my wife made me take pictures as they laid around the pool. Now I have a title for my collection of photos.

She was really upset about losing a 1980 Nissan? I'm sure the insurance company will give her $500 for it

Well now that the back of the Nissan is gutted, it's ready for a major stereo installation!

Thumbs up I'm published!

The local paper did use my photo, but it's not on their
website. They only used it in their hard copy. They
ripped me off because they didn't use my name.
They just put "courtesy photo". At least they did use
it though!

So, sorry but no link!

I don't have a scanner. All I have is the four original shots I
took, which are still at the newspaper, and the negatives. I'll
try to find some way to post them. When I do, I'll start a
new thread for them. Maybe you won't miss them. The paper
only used one of my pics, but it was the one which showed the
car really engulfed in flames. I may try to borrow a scanner
from a co-worker.
