Young pups might abuse cars but I work at a Saturn dealer and...well, Saturns have no performance so there is no sence in abusing them.

Seriously, most mechanics are flat rate and don't have time for joy rides.

Every Lightning owner should have this.

If I had a Lightning, I'd never let it leave my sight when I bring it in for service. This solves a potential problem.

I think most mechanics try not to go to far above the speed limit, or do too many burnouts, but sometimes it is necessary to accelerate at WOT to check tranny shift points, etc.

And then theres the customers that tell you the car shakes at 80MPH and they want you to fix it

I always stay with my car. And when they see a 5000 pound vehicle and a dude thats 6'3 doing burnouts is the last thing they think about.

Angry I know exactly what that man went through...

I couldn't afford that device but, I did secretly install a Fart-O-Meter before my last service visit and...

Those mechanics are animals!

dude, mechanics at my work fart all the time. There was this huge fat *** who used to drive the parts truck all the time and whenever you got into it, it smelled disgusting. It was so nasty. The first thing everyone would say..."Bennys been drivin hasen't he? Thats f'in sick man."

Hey, if there going to take my truck for a joy ride, take me. I know the truck pretty good. I can tell them what it likes! Well maybe not. When I drive it's not abuse, it's affection.
When I'm in for oil changes I listen for my exhaust to tell what there doing with my truck. I can tell my exhaust from most others.
No, I don't think they have time for joy rides where I bring my truck.

Hey thats funny I get those alot! Saturns aren't supposed to go that fast, dammit. Like I'm gonna risk a ticket in their p.o.s.

It'd be different if it were a mustang or f250 V10, but some other tech gets all the cool stuff...I get electrical problems on 82 Dodge Omnis.:o

yep

You have to keep your eye on those mechanics.

I had a chevy berretta gt (before I saw the light) and the stupid ignition switch went out on it.Of course it reguired a special tool (that was kinda expensive) to fix it.So I decide to let the dealer fix it.Well they said it was going tobe a 3 hr job.So I arranged for transportation for the day it was gonna be in the shop and told them I will be back for it tomorrow.I called at noon the next day still not ready.2 oclock still not ready.I had some errands to do so I decide to stop by after I did them. The receptionist lady said it should be done by now, lets go see if it is.We walked back into the shop and all the mechanics are eating pizza, using the trunk lid of my car as a table.MY jaw just about hit the floor and the ***** did hit the fan.To top it off, they weren't done with my car.I guess their was a tsb out for reprogramming the computer and they waanted to do that also.I told them to quit stuffing their faces and do it.While they were doing that I spoke withthe manager about my table-I mean car.He gave me 5 free oil changes and went back their and reamed the mechanics.Needless to say, I used up the ooil changes and never went back.......
