Counting Crows new album will be released soon. They have a new song called "American Girls" which features Cheryl Crow on backup. It is a great song. I am listening to it now on the net, for the 50th time today. I also heard it on the radio today for the first time.

In the wake of my truck problems, the timing could not be better for a new CC album. I am a hopeless Crowhead. This album should do a lot better than "This Desert Life". Welcome back CC.

My truck spent it's third day in the back yard. I am considering putting a palm tree in the bed and parking it beside the pool cage.

I think it's so cool that you'd come onto this site filled mostly with the tough, truck driving types of the world and tell everyone how excited you are about the new Counting Crows recording. Very cool indeed.

I don't suppose to listen to Cracker as well?

I was disappointed in "This Desert Life". I felt that, David Lowery under-produced it and the entire album came across as unfocused and sparse.

I just downloaded american girls--excellent song. i hope the rest of the cd is that good. we've waited a long time for some new crows. saw the cc's with the wallflowers a while back at the gorge, crows were amazing.

sorry to hear of your recent probs with the truck--at least with the palm tree in the bed beside the pool you might get to enjoy it a little

Jimmy Lee, thanks for giving a flying crap. Cheryl Crow started out as a back up singer, mostly for Don Henley, I think he pushed her to go solo. She has an excellent backup voice. I like her music too. she is great on this new CC song.

Ragno, Cracker is ok. It was underdone. Adam Duritz was trying to let go of the emotion that seemed to plague "Recovering the Satellites". He let go a little too much but I still like TDL. I think they probably nailed it again on this album. Adam said he is ready to dominate the world again as they did with "August and Everything After", I think they will. I never liked them until I heard "A Murder of One", that song amazed me.

conner, I saw them with Live in late '00. Both bands were excellent.
