Hey Trapper

I am sitting here kinda bored on a break at work and started wondering, did you ever get a new "family sized vehicle".

If so what did you get. Just curious and bored.

I got my Tundra back. 4x4 Limited loaded. Runs smooth as silk. I love it.

Chris

We're still looking around for something we can afford.
Daycare is ripping me a new one. It's eats up $400 a
month from our paychecks. We are in the process of
"downsizing". Our budget is stretched thin because of
a few too many extra items we don't really need. I'd
like to get rid of a few things and trim a few bills before
we make any major purchases. Heck, I'm even considering
selling my quad and a few guns to help lighten my load.
I'll be honest with ya, the toughest thing about being new
parents is shedding some old habits of how we use our
spare time and disposable income. We are at a point
where we really need to step back and examine how we
spend our money. I alone spend way too much on my
many "hobbies"; fishing, hunting, golf, shooting, etc....
Something's got to go and right now it looks like it will
be the hunting and the shooting. It's just so engrained
in who I am that it's hard to give certain things up. This
is our first kid after 11 years of marriage. We both
developed alot of selfish habits over those years. ANYWAY,
I'm sorry I rambled but to answer your question, No I
haven't bought anything yet. We are still in search of a
good deal. The only decision we have agreed on is that
we will narrow our search to a used vehicle.

Sorry so long.

I was told by a friend with kids that I should buy all my toys before I have kids because after that it is all for them, as it should be. I understand about those selfish habits but I know they will have to change when a child comes along and I am ok with that.

As for selling the guns........nooooooooooooooooooooo. Actually if you have to try to sell them to people you know who would sell them back to you in the future if need be.

As for used people movers, you know what is a decent vehicle that just didn't sell well. The Isuzu Trooper. Best of the Isuzu's IMO. You could get one used for a steal.

One thing about used vehicles, mini-vans are usually just as ragged out as sports cars. They were justed used differently. But kids and family hauling chores take a lot out of a vehicle, so be careful if you look for a used mini-van.

You might have to cut back on some of your pleasures but just think pretty soon you get to buy cool toys. I love toys. Action figures and sports stuff for the boys and Barbie Power Wheels jeeps for the girls. Is it sad that I always wanted the Barbie Dream house when I was a kid? I always thought it would make a wonderful shoot house for my GI Joes.

Yeah, the toys are pretty cool...

I just bought her a Barbie Jeep, but I can't stand that pink
color though! I'm thinking something a little less frilly,
maybe I should get the ol' spray gun out?
