Question How many people here play golf? What''s your handicap?

I have never played any sport as addictive as golf.
No matter how bad I suck, I want to play again after
each round. I rarely shoot better than an 85.

Does anyone elses play? If so, how often and what do
you usually shoot?

Golf is really fun, its been about a year since I played a round of Golf. I've been to the driving range a few times though. I normally dont keep score, but range from 85-100 . The golf carts are always a blast to put around in . We have 2 good golf corses near my home town. One is really nice and groomed, the other has a good clean front nine, but the back nine is really rough. The fairway is nice, but when you get in the rough, its like 2.5 feet tall grass, and hills, and sand, and trees. Its fun though.

I play as much as I can, I never shoot below an 88 or so. I suck, but it is fun.

Thumbs up

Who would have guessed that our Webmaster is another Tiger Woods?

Except that he's not black and is a 7 handicap.

I need to play a round with the Webmaster. Whoever wins gets their next mod paid for by the loser. I am a 6 right now but range anywhere from 5-8.

I play maybe once a month but can get my handicap down if I could just find the time to play more. Kids and a wife will do that to you.

I already have a driver and putter for my 21 month old girl. I am teaching her to hit the ball and she actually pushes it around pretty good. I will be taking her to the range in another couple of years.

lol my only handicap is the manager of the course chasing me off in a little wagon/cart. He won't let a kid play a few holes at 8 at night when nonoe else is on there!! He has to use the headlights to come after me too!

Hey Fellas,

I got lucky this year and got a job as a volunteer (one day/week) at a really nice course down the road from me. I get free golf year round and have to work 50 days/year to get that. It's a great deal! Anyway, if I could putt I would be ok. I play to a 16. This year it should get much better. I'm playing around 36 holes/week and getting all the range ***** I want on top of that. Things are starting to look better. See ya on the tee guys, Rich.

This is great, talking golf on an F-150 forum. I am recently retired, try to play 3/4 times a week, and have improved my handicap to a 14....this is going to be a great year. In fact, played today and it was a wonderful day, about 80 degrees with a light wind. All this, and a great course. Not bad for western Canada. Not quite the south east, like Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia and Florida, but pretty nice. And to top it off today, I drove to my club in my F-150. Golfing and some days of fishing, to me doesn't get any better. Hope one day to take my trailer down south and play in some of your great areas, like the Robert Trent Jones trail. Take care guys.

I was fortunate to start my golfing life on a very challenging (and beautiful) public course in my home town in Connecticut. (Richter Park in Danbury, consistently ranked as one of the Top 100 public courses in the US, most recently named as one of the Top 100 courses under $100 by T&L Golf) The greens fees for resident youths was only $5.00 back then!!

Back in the day, when I was in sales, I had the opportunity to play a bunch of courses around the country on other people's dimes, including Spyglass, Torrey Pines and Sawgrass.

A couple years ago (about when I turned 30), I resigned myself to the fact that I would likely never become a professional athlete. I played baseball in college, too old to go pro now. I'm 6'5" and a pretty good hoops player, too old to go pro now, even if I had the talent.

Then it hit me... SENIOR PGA!!! It's good to have a goal.

My Brother-in-law is in town this weekend, so we are going to try to get out and play. He didn't start golfing until he was 19 (his second year in the Marine Corps) and now, at 26, he's a scratch golfer. Sad part is, now that we both have very young children, this will be the first time we get out this year!!!!!! I'll get back to you next week on whether or not I accept your challenge...

I've only played a half dozen times. My scores were triple digits. They kind of stop keeping accurate score when you go over a hundred, I guess. My Brother-in-law is into golf. I kind of figured it to be a rich man's game. He paid $150,000 to join a Country Club and still has to pay to play there.
What's up with that?

Anyway, that's why I took up juggling.
Last time I was at his club I got kicked out.
Somebody yelled, "Hey you stop that! Put those down and get out of here!"
