Payload for one thing, the 350 has more leaf springs.

I belive you can only get duel rear wheels on a 350.

To get better brakes, frame, suspencion, and drivetrain, you would have to step up to a 450.

Yes you can get a dually 350, but if its not dual rear then what is the big difference? a few hundred pounds cargo?

Thats it????

I think it's more than a few hundred.
I think the payload on a 350 is like 4500 lbs.
When my dad got his 350, the first thing I noticed were the leaf springs. He had twice as many and they looked thicker.

I remember commenting on the spec sheet that he could put my 150 in the back of his 350 and drive around.

with a duely, you can tow with much more ease. The rear end won't move around as much, the tires last a LOT LONGER. We used to have a 350 and it worked great, but we needed more, so we got a 550. It had huge components. But once again, it was just a little too small, so we got an FL-60. and it does just fine.

the price of the two shouldn't be that much difference, if you are going to be pulling much, I would go with the 350. Number uno, the resale would be much greater for someone wanting a vehicle to tow a 5th wheel, and if you ever increased your pulling, the 350 could handle the weigh better.

with a 250 you can carry up to 2.5 tons (including passengers), and with a 350 you can carry up to 3.5 tons.

a 350 rides a whole lot stiffer than a 250 does.

Payload is the difference. They ride about the same, tow about the same similiarly equiped. However, the dually 350 with a PSD tows something like 12500 which is the highest in its class.
