Home computer question..
Does anyone out there know how to change the way your computer saves a pictures format from internet sites? Mine will only save as a ART or BMP file. I would rather a JPG file. When one of the other 2, I can't open them. I am running Windows XP. I figure it's either in a setting or maybe I don't have a particular program or something.......HELP!
Thanks
Thanks
I don't think there is a way to do it, i have the same problem on win98. The internet browser is unable to convert file formats. Art is basically AOL's version of bitmap. What i do is download it as a bitmap and use an image editing program to convert it to gif or jpeg or whatever. You can find free image editors on Download.com.

When I right click and save the flag above, it's a gif. Do the same to the logo in the upper left corner and it's a jpeg. What's your's do?

When I ran 98 or 95 on different computers, they would save as a JPG. ??
when u initially save it off the site, you can't change what type of file it is. It depends on what the owner of the site put it up as. But like Phillip said, u can use a different program like PS to change it to a jpeg file, and then resave it.
