Fake Stuff?

So I'm standing in my driveway setting up the pressure washer, when I notice my neighbors garage door open.
He owns an 02 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 with 4.7 V8

I see him in the backyard, so I saunter over for a closer look.

I see a set of those fake hood scoops installed, and painted to match, you know the kind you stick on with 3M, I think Lund makes them.

So just as I'm walking away, he pops right up in front of me and says "Pretty sweet eh?"
Of course I was totally honest with my opinion - "it';s like buying a fake Gucci watch" I say, then I ask him when he's going to paint red flames on the side, LOL - man, he wasn't laughing. HAHAHA

What do you all think of the phoney hood scoops and stuff?
My motto is get real or stay home. I hate fake stuff, oy, especially on vehicles. I remember a guy who put one of those fake cell antenais on his back window, we laughed at him for a month, LOLOL

That is no problem. My email address is 1337h4xor@***.net Have any questions just send them over. If you lost any of our emails, I think I still have them on my comp. If you lose my email address again, the just find me on the general care board. I check it a few times everyday.

PepBoys doesn't sell Zaino or Klasse. Zaino is hard to find. You have to go through a dist. or mail order it from them. I don't like Z so get Klasse. Check your high end dealerships for Klasse. Like BMW or Mercedes. Otherwise you can get it from properautocare.com or klassedirect.com Go with Klasse You'll love it and the 16oz bottle they send you will last a long time! You hardly use any to do a coat. I think I use less than 1oz when I do my truck.

the ones that bothers me is the people that get these off road stickers, the ones that look like factory originals and slap it on their vehicles that dont really have the factory off road package. the main reason is because when they go to sell the vehicle, it appears to have something it dont.

I think every ricer is guilty of having fake stuff on their car. How about TYPE-R, GREDDY, NOS, etc decals. And the air intakes that mount on the roof. I saw an eclipse with an air intake on the roof I said WTF? He told me that it was for looks. I king of figured it out because it was glued on and mounted on top of a sunroof.

...I want an off road sticker. For the most part I don't care for fake stuff but remember that hood scopes on mustangs aren't functional.

You guys are funny. Considering as Ford4Fun pointed out, most hood scoops are non functional anyway, whats the diff if it's factory or added on? We'll still pass them just the same LOL.

I used to get mad when girls at work accused me of having fake finger nails. I used to reply "Yeah, and my @ss is fake too!"

yeah, i never understood hood scoops on a truck thats EFI On some vehicles they look good, like Mustangs for example.

I was at this pool hall a few weeks ago and i looked out the window and noticed a 4X4 ORP sticker on the back of a truck. I walked closer to the window to see the truck, and it was then that i noticed that it was a Chevy I was like WTF??!! Why does he have a Ford sticker on his truck? LOL. I thought chevys offroad package was the Z71? HAHA, what a loser.

I can't be too hard on people who have fake stuff.

When I go out to the disco I put the small amount of fake hair on my head where there is not enough and I could just do some extra situps but, it is easier to put on my elastic 'girdle' that makes me oh so svelt. Why should I bother to unbutton my shirt down to (but not exposing) my girdle if I was not wearing 'very expensive' fake chest hair? Set off by my splendid array of semi-precious, almost gold, chains with large medallions. My roll of Ones is always wrapped with a Twenty and (hope the ladies aren't reading this) I always go out with two pairs of socks though only one pair is on my feet.

I may have a little fakery on me but, I look as good as hunka burning love in a polyester jumpsuit can look.

Thumbs up

Fake stuff is okay as long as you keep it tasteful(if that's possible?LOL) I have a pic I need to develop of a hilarious looking Shovie. it's like a 74 4x4 with Z-71 stickers, triple roll bar,(chrome of course) It's toooo funny to be believed. I'll try to get it done this week......98
