Do you Yahoo

This change apparently applies to ALL Yahoo accounts. People with Yahoo Messenger are reporting the same thing...

I checked it out first and it's true. All my preferences were set on Yes. So it's just a heads up if you don't want stuff sent to your email, house or if you don't want marketing calls to your house.

Yahoo has just made a sneaky change to everybody's 'Marketing Preferences', the result of which will be a load of spam. To change them back here's what you need to do to avoid all the ads. Go to My Groups and click on Account Info, verify your password if it asks you to, and your Yahoo ID card comes up. Click on 'Edit your Marketing Preferences' and change all those Yes's back to No's! Click Save Changes.

Don't forget the address and phone number at the bottom of that list too or they will call or mail you things. I followed her directions, and she was correct. Had I not corrected my settings, I'd be getting tons of spam. I'd suggest that everyone do the same ."

(Note that this applies to Yahoo e-mail accounts as well. Go to Privacy Policy at the bottom of the page, and click Marketing Preferences.)

Thanks for the heads up!!!!

I have received all of "2" telemarketing calls in my life and this 2 too many.

I checked and noticed that everything in the preferences had been changed from "No" to "Yes".

I AM SO PI$$ED!!!!!

WOW!

I went & checked Messenger & lo & behold, you were right! All the Yes boxes were checked! I switched them ALL w/o even looking - I'm so angry that even if I DID want whatever they were offering, I don't want it from Yahoo now or ever!
I have been getting all sorts of unsolicited emails including mortgage rates & ****. Maybe this explains it! I hope all that unsubscribing & blocking I've done, along with changing the preferences will stop this spam!
THANK YOU GOG FACE!
