Should I?

Hey I saw at a dealership the otherday a 99 F-150 4x4 5.4 L, towing package XLT. Perfect condition, 60K miles for 14,500. The truck was aweome Im seriously considering buying the thing and reselling it just for grins. I noticed KBB said its worth about 18500. So for 18K a few minutes of my time net a little over 3 thousand bucks. I drove it, no noticeable problems, Ill take it some where to be checked out. Interior was awesome. i think either something is messed up with it I just cant see it or the people selling it are giant tards. What do you think?

I wouldn't do it. You will never get the book value out of a vehicle. I think that $14,500 is what that thing is worth down here because I see F150s on every corner. Also, you will have to pay tax, registrations, yada yada yada. I dont think that that is a good investment. I went to kbb and its trade in value is at about $14,000. If you want I can run you a carfax to see if it was in any major damage.

Offer $12k. If you get it, you have a chance of making out.

What a nice brother you are!

That is VERY generous of you Randy! I hope your little brother appreciates this! BTW - don't forget your elderly Aunt! She'd love a second truck! ROFL!

Oooooh!

VERY nice looking truck! I can't wait to hear what he says when you give him this truck! (Pssst - "Aunt" Cowlady still would like a second truck - strictly for off roading you know! LOL!)
Will you be driving this until you give it to him? If you need someone to "test" it out I'll make the sacrifice & volunteer!

Care to "adopt" another little brother?

Nice truck - great find! I wish I could find a deal like that around these parts - it's getting to be time for a new truck!
