Hey DanB

The Rock beat Hogan and then Hall and Nash beat on Hogan and now Hogan and Rock are buds. But I would say that could be a ploy to kick some booty later on.

Just thought I would let you know. You can check it all out at WWF.com

When I was a kid, I used to watch all the time! I thought Ricky Steamboat and Jimmy (The Super-Fly) Snooka were madmen with the way they jumped off the ropes and flew across the ring. I loved it! I stopped watching for a while, try 20 yrs or so. I turned it on a few years ago and WOW! The Hardy Boys and Lita are doing things I cannot believe, from heights above the ring that are just amazing.

Fake is not the word I would use to describe today's wrestling entertainment. Fixed? Yes, definitely. But not fake. Sure, punches are pulled and there is a great deal of acting involved. But...... There are certain things that are real, that make up for all of the BS.

Oh yea..... Lita can jump me from the top rope anytime! In fact, I would probably pay.Heh Heh Heh

With very few exceptions, these wrestlers earn every penny they make. For most, it's just an unguaranteed contract with legally dubious independent contractor label standing between them and a total financial and physical catastrophe. Like another poster stated, it's fake and results are rigged, but tolls on the bodies are very real. Pulled punches and rigged props merely assist in making the occupation generally dangerous and not fatal.

With no collective bargaining, and a stable of eager, star-struck young bulls (and umm... heifers too, I guess) waiting on the wing, it's really a tough an draining job, especially when you have to negotiate with a multi-billion dollar corporation. Talk about inequity in bargaining positions...

If you're a big star, then you got it made. You get nice fat guaranteed contract and perks (such as 1st class travel) with reduced work days. Guaranteed contract is supposedly the main reason why Goldberg isn't working right now. But for most of the wrestlers, it can be a bleak existence.

That said, I watch it now and then, yeah, it's fun!
