Traded 00 Rancher for 02 Rubicon
NO no NO, The King of Quads are the Yamaha Grizzly's.
One of my best Friends had a Polaris 500 H/O Scrambler and his Dad had a 500 Polaris Sportsmen, both of those quads had problems. They would go thru some water and there belts would start to slip. The Sportsmen even had a belt chewed up on it. My brother's 1998 Grizz would go thur any depth of water and have no problems with its belt. He just bought a new 2002 Grizz and man with the IRS out back that things great. Just my .02 cents.
I've read about the new Rincon but I'll have to wait and see what it does in some shootouts, I've never been a big fan of Honda's though. IT's unbelievable though how much a new Quad cost these days, keeps going up and UP.

Whiel I'm no fan of Polaris Quads, the Grizzly 600 is well known for having water get into the belt/clutch set-up. I think eventually they fixed the problem, but when they came out they did not like water...
Power Kid;
My brother's old 98 Grizz would go thru alot of water and have no problem with water getting into it's belt. Must of been one of the better one put together.
One of the guys we go ATVing with has a 99 Grizz and doesn't have any problem's either. Yamaha must of fix that problem quick. My brother hasn't had a chance to take it thru any deep water yet with his new 2002 Grizz! Hope his new one is trouble free as his old one.

Hey JL I hadn't heard that one about the crappy brakes. Hopefully Yamaha got those fixed, my brother just bought it about 4 months ago, so everything seems fine with it the last I heard from him. Guess time will tell what will happen with it. I guess you have to look at it this way, every new quad has problems when they come out.
