New trucks will come with IRS?

I've heard that the new f-150s are going to come with independant rear suspension. Anyone heard if this is true? I sure hope not. Any guesses to what this will cost to lift? 2500-3000?

I HIGHLY doubt that they would do that. The cost would be too high and I doubt that it would be able to stand up to hauling and towing.

Question

Who knows? Maybe on the F-150? Maybe just on the 2wd? It seems doubtfull given the negatives with a load. For 90% of people who drive empty it may be a good thing. The only way I can see it is with an adjustable air system so you could crank up the psi when you had a heavy load. That way you would not lose ground clearance etc... Just specualtion... The big negative with the new Explorer and its IRS is the poor suspension travel on rough roads. But they also run the driveshaft through the frame to allow for a 3rd row seat. With the F-150 that would not be a factor...
