Angry 4x4 not working HELP HELP HELP

Please help me figure this out, i use the electronic shift-on-the-fly thing and it makes all the usual electronic clicking noises but when i put it back in driveand go, the front tires aren't doing anything. I checked all the fuses, they are all good. Nothing looks loose, wrong, leaking or anything underneath. When i put it in 4 low, it goes into the low-ratio transmission gears but it still doesn't power the front tires. It does make the usual CLUNK though when putting it in 4 low but not 4 high. I don't really want to have to take it to the dealership cuz it's not under warranty anymore. I was hoping one of you guys would know. Thanks guys

Just for the hell of it, when you engage 4wd, run the truck in reverse and then forward. Do it a couple of times, and see if that gets it to work.

there is a solenoid on the front axel that could be bad, also check your vaccum system make sure no lines are torn or disconnected, your front hubs are engaged by engine vaccum.

There's a vacuum motor on the front axle. I'm guessing either the motor is faulty or there's no vacuum going to it.

Thanks alot guys i'm gonna go check all the vacuum lines and suck because i already tried going reverse and then forward about million times, i hope there is just a vacuum line loose or something simple, this could be expensive.

There are two vacuum lines that are located behind the battery on the firewall. They are pink and blue. Check those lines and make sure that they are not broke or corroded. Mine were corroded from the battery linking battery acid. I just spliced them back together and my front wheels worked just fine when I engaged the 4 wheel drive.

Thanks guys, it was definately the pink and blue vacuum lines. I think when i took my battery out to put my chip in i smashed them by setting the battery back down on them and didn't know it. But it does kinda look like someone cut them, but that's a weird thing to cut and i have an alarm, no one was under the hood.

Glad you found the problem and didn't require a trip to the dealer! Thanks for updating us too. Lots of times, people post problems, we post possible solutions, then we never hear how it turned out.
