find the digital
camera you want on http://www.dpreview.com/ , price it on
http://www.shopper.com and buy it from one of the three star stores on that
site...

After extensive research, I got the Minolta Dimage 5 from www.800.com . $699 and 90 day same as cash. I am happy with it. I probably should have gotten the Dimage 7. They are almost identical, but the 7 had more resolution and a few more features. For another $200, I think it would have been woth it. Take Dougs advice too dpreview has some good info.

Not exactly, but the cops haven't bothered me about it yet.

35 is the darkest you can go legally in TX on the sides, and you can go as dark as you want on the back.

how much money you got? there are alot of gooduns out dere.
I use a sony dsc-p1. it's 3.34 megapixels. I bought the underwater case with it. camera was $695, underwater case was $170. I do a lot of diving. they don't make the p1 any longer they have the p5 or p3, they are also available with the underwater case good to 30Meters or 90 feet. here's a picture with the camera just to show you the detail you can get. happy hunting.

Sorry to jump in here and unfortunately I am not taken pics of an L (wish I was) but... Can anyone recommend a good budget digital camera? I have an extra 200-250 and want a digital camera to play with. I have access to a professional Minolta camera for any real pictures I need to take, just need a digital to take quick pictures of stuff. I know for that money I can not get much more than a 2 megapixel camera and a few features but that is all I need. Thanks

Most of the Olympus cameras are pretty good

Plus you can usually improve the picture quality with software
