...ATST becomes more of a pest in dragging up old posts from 3 years ago!

I'm only trying to revive a few classics.

Can't call me 'boosting' my post count.

I'm sorry, but dragging up all these old threads is making it time consuming to keep up with the current threads. In fact, it's pushing the current threads to the second and third pages. It's also not much fun looking at red Xs in little white boxes because of outdated links.

Drop me a line when you've gotten this out of your system 'cause I don't think I'll be coming back to this discussion group until it gets back to normal.

Sorry if I'm putting a damper on your fun, but it's just how I feel at the moment. Bringing up a few threads is one thing, but this is a bit much.

Dennis, I agree with you a lot of the time.
Yes, the red x'a are a little bit of a distraction.
Yes, it does push some current topics back to page two. Just like if you miss a day or two here. Notice that the icons show whether or not you have read a thread, and that icon changes when new replies are added. So now that you know where to look for them, you know what to do.

These old posts are what made this section what it is today. It also serves to show that while these are all "Off topic" most of them do in fact pertain to our Trucks, thereby giving examples of acceptable off topic usage.
Off-topic does not = Off the wall.

The only alternative is if Steve wants to create an archive to put these in, but again, I doubt he has time to do this. And besides, archives are usually read only, and many newer people may want to add their comments.

So padding your post count is what caused the search feature to not work?

Kinda lame excuse if you ask me. Must be more to it.

Now you know what life is like in the Lightning Forum.

Actually, I don't see this as making the General Discussion situation worse. It was 'X' number of pages before and this is just reshuffling the deck.

That said, Dennis has always been a good egg and I will respect his wishes.

(ATST, I'll send you my list of threads to save and let you take the heat because, I'm a wienie.)
