If you had a project vehicle what would it be

well ive seen the 68 blazer that was turned into a truck. that is sweet. what i would like to do is get a bronco 4wd, mild lift and take all the sheetmetal from the front quarter panel back off and put a truck cab on it. and the little section would be a dimondplate bed(black) make it into a weird looking off road vehicle.
what would you do or have done that is not the average project vehicle?

Sniper. I would have a sniper by avalanche engr. They are awsome. I would have them make and have the vehicle ready to run, I would just piddle around improving things.

a '69 Mach1.

I'd put a roll bar behind the front seats to mount a 5pt harness to. It'd be maroon, with the 351 Shaker, 4-spd. Then i'd conceal a cd player in the dash somehow and put some sweet wheels on it, lower it an inch or two, make sure all the chrome is shining, maybe a supercharger , glasspacks, Hurst shifter, Pirelli rubber, etc. etc.

I'd build me a 76-78 Datsun 280z with a small block Chevy in it. Had a 78 280z 2+2 as my first car. What fun that thing was. Drove it like a bat out of he$$.

I already have my money pit, it's 67 mustang fastback. SWMBO likes my car but hates the amount of money I have put into it. Little does she know that I'm looking into getting a 427 for it.

Well right now my lightning is my project vehicle.

But if I got to choose and older car

1. 86' SVO stang
2. just like Chainsaw13, and older Z car with a small block in it
3. Maybe a kit car like an old Shelby Cobra

captainoblivious, a friend of mine had an old mag, I believe it was Popular Hotrodding. They had a article about a old Z car that someone had put a blown chevy 350 with a holley projection system on it. Somehow had it setup so that the stock hood was retained. Total sleeper. Ran in the 9's. They also upgraded the suspension so it could carve canyons as well. That would be a fun car to have.

2002 BMW M5 ... my project would be figuring out how to fit into it so I could drive it.

Ok, actually it would be a triple-black '69 Camaro SS (just like the one in the classic coming of age film, Better Off Dead), a '57 T-Bird (a la Dan Tanna), or a '59 Corvette (a la Animal House).
