So I park my truck in the far back of the local high end audio/video store... and I mean next to no one. My girl and I are walking across the parking lot when we both hear some really intresting noises. We turn around to see a guy chasing his dodge dakota across the parking lot. I look at my girl and say WOW you dont see that everyday! Well to my disbelief... the truck went about 300ft across the parking lot and plowed into the side of my truck. I couldnt believe it. I was in total shock. I mean my truck was so far away from his.

Well... now to tell you why the idiot hit me. He had a standard and he tried to remote car start it! How fu*#ing stupid can people be. Well... anyways, there is nothing I can do about it now. It goes in next week to be fixed. I just hope I dont get any funky rattles in it now.

Wow! I could'nt dream that up on a good day. I think Dodges are programed from factory to hit Fords cuz they can't outperform them.

 

That sucks that it happened to hit your truck , but it's a pretty funny to think of some jack a$$ chasing his run away truck across the parking lot !
I once saw the end results of another dumb a$$ who backed his boat down a boat ramp on a day it was really croweded , well first of all he didn't put in the drain plug but he also didn't unhook the winch ... couldn't figure out why he wasn't backing up so he's giving the boat a lot of power and is looking back at the motor ... well he also forgot to set the emergency brake he pulls his truck into the water!!! ... well the back wheels are off the ramp , the bed and half the cab is full of water ... he panics , jumps out of the boat jumps in the truck giving it all it's worth but getting no where ... in the mean time the boat fills up with water , the trailer is hung up on something underwater and he has to sit there looking stupid while dozens of people pull in and out of the lake on the ramp right beside him !!! It took a wrecker over 2 hours to get there and another hour to pull it out ! oh yeah , he also got a ticket for DUI ... why did they think he might have been drinking you ask ? ... because when the boat went under the top came off the styrafoam cooler and when it turned over beers were floating everywhere ... hahaha it cracks me up every time I think about it !

Oh NO! I wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry. Prolly laugh while watching him chase his Truck, then cry when my Truck got hit. Hey at least you weren't in it!

My BF told me about a old guy who got a ticket for remote starting his car in the handicap zone from inside the store.
He fought the ticket saying he could see the car from the window.
Appearently there is a new law (may very from state to state, I am, not sure) that makes it illegal to remote start your car in any public place.
How stupid to pay all that money and only use it from your own house. I always thought if I don't have enough energy to go outside and start my own car, I better just lay back down. Besides that what really wakes me up at 2am when it is cold out, and I have to go outside to start my Truck.

 

That beats the recent event where my truck went for a ride (w/o me!) backwards while 1/2 on a flatbed! The flatbed's parking brake failed while he was loading my truck & while still pointing skyward, the 2 trucks rolled backwards along the shoulder of the thruway! I guess the bright side in both cases is nobody was injured. Also, you were able to witness the accident so you'll be able to collect for damages.
ATST - I agree w/you on remote starters! I can't see having 1 - I have to walk all of 20' to get to the truck & start it - I lock it up while I finish dressing & when I'm done I use my spare key to get in - it's all nice & warm for me & ready to go! I guess I am my own remote! LOL!
