Angry Totally off the truck subject but....

Do any of you know where I can get a good quility chain wallet??? Ive got to retire mine after 15 years!!! Its held up quite well but the zipper is falling out and the stitching is too. The black leather has actually turned mostly white from years of use/abuse. The only problem is that everywhere I look they're of cheap quality.(nylon zipper, single ply leather) I am beginning to think that they just dont make 'em like they used to.

Can't you get it repaired? My local shoe repair guy does amazing things with leather.

if you want another 15 years out of the new one, invest in a custom made job. Look up in your yellow pages for a leathersmith.

I'm going to Southbury today!!, then Danbury. If you want call me on my cell phone 860-620-2503, I can drop it off, or leave it someplace. I did find it!! I had it as a kid and used it very little.

I've done a few stunts on 691, the best have been with my neighbors 71 Monte Carlo 383 stroker W 20 psi Procharger and NOS.

BLACKENEDFORD : try any local truck stops. they often have quality chain wallets there. may be a bit pricey though but should last awhile.

I hid it on the side of the road in a zip lock bag in Southbury...........................lol! No really I did, I figured it would be closer to you so you need not make a trip. E-mail me and I'll tell you where it is.

I will say its in "The Village"

Go to your next nearest biker event. They usually have custom made or high quality chain wallets. Bikers love 'em. Prices are usually reasonable, sometimes even a 2-fer deal.
