Anyone considering a air intake

You might wanna check the manufacturer and make sure that it's water proof

I hope no one was hurt in that! Also, they better get it out of the water before it swells up! That's rice, you know!

wow that really sucks, even if it is a ricer! did he not realize it was ice? or did he think that his car was too light to actually break that thin layer of ice?

These pics have been going around the Subaru forums so much they are locking the threads every time someone pops it back up. Its pretty funny I think. There are other pics of them lugging it out of the water/ice. About $20k down the tube. What a dummy.

It all started innocently enough.
Then the driver says "Hey y'all, check this out!"

Is there that much ice anywhere in the south? Maybe the 'upper' section of the south, I guess. I really feel bad for that guy, too. I hope he and his girlfriend weren't up to anything when it fell through. That would just be a bit much!

that's funny. happens every year here. someone always has to prove that the ice is ready to drive on. or that it is still thick enough.

that actually happened to me in the army. i was driving a jeep for a capt. no offense meant to anyone but when someone from wisconsin tells someone from virginia that the ice is not safe you'd think they'd listen. nope. the only good part was that it was the capt's side that went in and got soaked. talk about a funny sight, and i didn't even get dogged for it because i had warned him. used to have pics but i think they've gone wherever the socks from the dryer go over the years.
