i coach a 5th and 6th grade girls basketball team and we have achieved 2 consecutive shut outs..and 5 wins out of 7 games... the league the girls are in has 3 levels and i coach ( with another parent ) the level at which none of the girls have played any organized ball at all..,.several of our girls could not catch or dribble when we started...the girls are now 5 and 2 with one game left,,,
sorry for the long post but i promised my daughter a post if they won this morning and they won 8-0

 

Now THATS a Basket Ball score!!!!!! Way to go

 

thanks... at this level we dont get too much on the score board...we are veraging 12 points a game with our high a 19 to 0 win and our worst 5 to 4 loss... ( sounds like a baseball score )

 

That is great! Congratulations to all of the girls, and to all of the coaches, you did a very good job! Not necessarily only in winning, but for taking an active part in the youth of America's lives. A big round of applause for lew b!

 

thanks...you know it was actually quite fun..hardest part is trying to control 9 fifth and sixth grade girls and trying to control the parents who just sit in the bleachers and criticize everything...the looks of pride on my daughters face after each game win or lose was worth it.. i will definitely do this again
