How many does it take?

Just how many steps does it take you to get in your truck?
I get in using two steps. 1) Right leg goes in and lands by the gas pedal, left leg goes in, and lands by the brake pedal.
I don't use the running boards, that would be an extra step, plus they're just for looks, so I just step over them.
Now if I had a 4by, I'm sure it'd be different.

Ditto on the steps. I guess being tall has its advantages!

I take the Dukes of Hazzard approach and dive through the window.

CAUTON: When trying to dive through the window of a 4X4 make sure you get enough height or you'll smack into the door and land in the dirt.

Thanks ATST!

ATST - you HAD to ask this didn't you? Now I'm sitting here trying to imagine getting in my truck & I can't remember so I just went out to see!
1)open door & put left foot on nerf bar
2)swing right foot up & into truck, taking care not to slam my knee (again!) on the corner of the dash - seat is ALL the way forward
3)plant my seat on my seat! LOL!
Yes - I use the nerf bars - gotta. At 5'2" I have no choice. I tried getting in once w/o them & had the truck running - put 1 foot on the sill & grabbed the wheel to hoist myself up. OUCH! I thought I got a hernia! Remember, the truck was running so the wheel wasn't locked & I nearly fell out of the truck! NEVER AGAIN!
LOL!

While the duke's approach always impresses the lady's, I normally do the little right foot in, a delayed reaction, and pull the left leg in.

****It took some thinking, If I didn't have to go down 11 flights, and walk a way's, I would know better, but I think that is how I get in****

I think I am like rtroha, you have about a 4 foot running start, then take a flying leap (hoping the door is open) then grab on to whatever you can, and crawl the rest of the way in. all and all just shy of 10k **** movements.....3 I think.

The 'Duke' thing has been perfected here by me and my friends. I have a 4X4 with VentVisors, so it took a lot of 3m tape to get it right!
