Talking Valentine's Day Gifts that Worked....

Well, I can honestly say that sending flowers to your wife on Valentines Day really ranks high. Yep, spent $65 on flowers for her, (Chocolates were included with the flowers ). I got a call from her when she got into the office and saw the flowers sitting on her desk, and she had to show everyone.
That is ok, because the gift that I got from her was good as well....She got me two of my favorite movies on DVD...Top Gun, and Men In Black.
Looks like yet another successful year for me.

Hope *they* enjoy those gifts really well.

I tried the my approach, told her I was getting her a card and taking her out to dinner, nothing more nothing less. Then I acted like I didn't care during any of her whining and poutting. Then she called and apoloqized for whining and poutting. Then I personally delivered $5 of flowers to her at work and surprised the hell out of her.

I got my girlie a 2 carat ruby pendant set in silver and 1 carat earrings to match (silver and rubies being her favorite combination).

Needless to say.......I'm sore and merely on a water break.

We don't take to kindly to your type around here Mister, you're going to give the rest of us a bad name with our wives.

MNFORD.......bet you have been married for less than 18 months,
DanB.....very funny!!!!!!
The best I can hope for on Valentines day is that she doesnt nag me for a few hours.
The truth is that Valentines day is a conspiracy of gift and gift card retailers. If you only buy your wife gifts of chocolate, flowers jewelry, or indeed anything else on Valentines day, there's no hope for you! Take my advice, little surprises more often are a whole lot better.
