I did'nt know that he died until I read this thread. Did'nt he sing with Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Lefty Frizzel, and Chris Christopherson? The Highway Men? He will be sadly missed by all.

Rest in Peace, Waylon he was deffinetly just a good old boy. I read that he lost one of his foot's this past Dec. due to his diabetice's {sp}. That's what caused his death also. He will be sorely missed.

How sad

It's always sad when a legend in country music dies - we lose a little part of music history. He'll be remembered for a very long time. May he rest in peace.

He was on top of my list. I grew up listening to him and all the other outlaws. I remember my dad taking me to Waylon fest and seeing him and Willie and all the others. For sure will be missed alot here. RIP

Unhappy

If I'm not mistaken, Waylon was the bass player for Buddy Holly and the Crickets until "The Day Rock and Roll died."

sad....

You are correct, and he gave up his seat on that flight to the big bopper.
