Let's see, I am going to Darlington in March, the Brickyard (been to every one, my hometown), Martinsville, Bristol, The Rock and I would like to get to Richmond this year. Oh yeah, now that I have driven a stock car for 20 laps at Charlotte at night, I'd really like to go to the night race there too.

About half of my tickets are freebies. Still working on getting to Daytona....

Last year I went to The Rock, Martinsville and the Brickyard.

Anybody out there have Papyrus Nascar4????

Hello to all:

What a nice transition, from the Superbowl one weekend directly to NASCAR racing on the next weekend.

Based on the Daytona 500 qualifying results, the Fords look like they need some aero-rule changes, or there won't be many Fords on the lead lap at the end of the race.

Perhaps the Fords will do better when drafting, but I doubt it. My guess is that NASCAR will make the rule changes after The Bub Shootout and prior to the twin 125's.

What do you think?

Wilk

Looks to me like they need to add a quarter inch to the Chevy AND Dodges to make the Fords and Pontiacs competitive. For some reason, Nascar always tries to make the slow car faster instead of the fast car slower, doesn't make sense since they mandate restrictor plates.

Plus, it means the slow cars have alot of work to 1) change the cars, 2) re-dial in the cars. Seems like taking something away and making the guys out front work would be the right solution.

After watching the Bud Shootout, looks like it is going to be a tought Daytona 500 for the Fords.

On the other hand on tracks where downforce is important the Fords should do verry well.

I love NASCAR, and although I dont want to get mawkish, it just isnt the same any more, as I liked to see the old intimidator strutting his stuff. Know what I mean?
