I hope the 2003 F-Series doesn't resemble this at all!!!

im with you on that one, i dont like it at all!

 

I really dont like it at all myself.

 

I saw it in person in Detroit and I liked it. In person I thought it looke dbetter than a Tahoe or Sequoia. My one suggestion is it could use nicer wheels. But that doesn't mean I want the F-series to continue with that style. I hope it's different. More like the tonka, meaner more truck like...

 

I couldn't have said it any better. I also think that they are going to 4 wheel independant suspension. I know the 03 Explorers are going that way but I'm not real sure on the Expedition.

I have to say that the new Expedition is the ugliest redesign that I have ever seen. When I bought my 1997 I thought that it was the best looking SUV out there. Then in 1999 Ford made a redesign and added the ugliest bumpers that I have ever seen. I think this was to save money. My 1997 has them in all chrome but the 99-02 Expys have them in plastic with a 2in strip of chrome. Whats up with that? Then in 2001, Ford redesigned the muffler in the Expy. Now it started to stick out. You can not only see the tip but the whole muffler itself. Thats another turn in the wrong direction.

Now, Ford is planning to sell us larger Exploders. I would never buy one. If I wanted an Explorer look I would go and buy an Explorer. As far as the Explorer goes, I think that the 1997-1999 looked 100X better. Ford took another wrong turn in the 2002 redesign and added all of the plastic. OK, so I guess they were going for the AZTEK look.

So why is Ford making their vehicles uglier? Who knows!
