Dread Zeppelin

Here is a little music trivia. Anyone remember Dread Zeppelin? Bo Roberts use to play Dread Zeppelin on his morning show a long time ago on Q102. For those of you who dont know Dread Zeppelin, they where a band that did Led Zeppelin cover songs with an Elvis impersonator in a raggae beat. They also did some cover songs from Elvis, Bad Company, Lynnyrd Skynnyrd, etc. I ran across some Dread Zeppelin last night on Morpheus. I havent heard there music in a long time and just thought I would mention it.

O yeah, I still see there in the used CD shops every once in a while. May pick one up now that I think about it.

Yeah, they did a not so bad cover of Stairway to Heaven.

I have their '5,000,000' CD. It has a couple of good songs, and the guys do have a sense of humor. IMO, DZ is something best consumed in small doses unless you are a real big fan. Heard their live shows were pretty entertaining.

I've got 3 of their CD's. They are a truly original band. I mean Zeppelin/Elvis/Reggae---gotta love it! It helps that they also happen to be extremely talented musicians. They come to Vancouver every so often, I hear it's a great show..

I've got their first CD and still break it out from time to time and it makes me laugh every time. Of course I've also got all of the "Best of Bo" tapes so you know my sense of humor is slightly warped.
