What a difference a day makes!
What a difference a day makes!
Just wanted to thank everyone who contributes to these forums for severely dampening my day.
As of yesterday I was only moderately pissed at my truck for having a few minor problems (see my recent posting). Today I'm ready to shoot it. After browsing these forums I just had to check for door cracks and, lo and behold, I have them too. And if that isn't enough, I'm browsing around looking for door crack info and I suddenly realize that I have the piston slap feature also!!!
Anybody wanna buy a "cream puff" '97 loaded with all of ford's 'special' options? I think I'll go dodge or chevy shopping... Bet they never have any problems.
How can ford "torture test" vehicles, supposedly putting millions of miles on them, and not detect something like the door cracks? Some of the posts seem to indicate that it doesn't take that long for them to appear!
Maybe they were too busy counting the multiple billions of dollars they made that year or laughing over the short warranties they have crammed down the public's throat!
Seriously, I really want to thank everyone who takes the time to read and answer the many posts and to the f150Online staff for having such a super site!!
