Question Black Vehicles

Just wondering if anyone else out there has the same strange attraction to black vehicles as I do. Last night I purchased my 4th black vehicle in a row. Now my wife and I both have black Ford's in our driveway. This is getting crazy. Everytime we went car shopping, I said "No more black!" and I always end up with black. Does this happen to anyone else?

When I went to get a truck, I was looking for a silver one til I saw this black one. My Ranger was black and both of my parents vehicles are black.

Black's definitely my favorite. My Mustang is black and the car I had before it was also. My wife, on the other hand goes for red. Thus our truck is red as was her car before last.
As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate other people's black vehicles much more but found myself not actually wanting to own one. They are murder in the Texas sun and a bear to keep clean. I'm leaning towards a nice cool, easy to maintain white for my next truck.

well

My truck is my first black vehicle.IMO black does look the best , when it is clean.Thats the hard part, keeping it clean.I can honestly say that I won't buy another black vehicle.I will just admire the other peoples black cars and trucks.I am kinda leaning towards a silver or tanish color (tan is the easiet to keep clean)

Talking

This is my 3rd black F-150 since 1998. To me, black really does look the best when it is clean. I'm not very crazy about black cars though. If I were going to order another F-150, it would be certainly be black.

My favourite color is black. My truck is bright red though.
People advised me not to take a black truck while black is a "contagious" color.A black truck gets easily dirty, they say.

My brother owns a beautifull "Panter Black" Focus.
It looks great.

Thumbs up Love that black!

I've owned one black truck. It was a 95 F150.
I sold it a couple months back and bought the
pacific green 98 I have now. If I ever buy
another new vehicle, it will be black. Nothing
looks better in my opinion.

Yes, black is a wicked fantabulous color. Yes, the maintenance to stay that way is worse than prison.

I like black vehicles. Especially with chrome wheels. That combo looks so good. I'd probably never buy one for myself though because they get so hot and are hard to keep looking good.

I used to work at a Lexus dealer detailing cars and stuff and whenever someone with a black car wanted it detailed it would look so gorgeous after you wax it and polish it. But it also takes forever to do it.

My wife's explorer is white. My Prius is white. The truck I sold to get my F150 was white. My family said "NO MORE WHITE CARS!". So I bought a black truck. It looks awesome.

And it is very easy to keep clean. You can see every speck of dust on it so you wash it twice a week. Keeps it very clean.

My new '02 S-Crew is black. My wife said that black and red were equal first choices for color, but I knew she really wanted red. I researched all the dealerships in the area with their "online" inventory to find a red one with the options I wanted. After twice being disappointed by finding that the vehicle had already been sold, I decided to look through actual inventory at a dealership that had 65 S-Crews.

They had a red one that had a couple extra things on it, and a black one that had all the options just right, parked right next to the red one. My 3-year old son also said that red was his favorite, and said that the red truck was "tool" (his way of saying "cool"). Then I saw the black one, and thought to myself, "wow - that is really sharp".

I called my wife, and she left it up to me. I asked my 3-year old what he thought of the black truck, and he said, "that one is REALLY tool!"

And so I have the black one, and love it! Haven't had a black vehicle in over 10 years, and realize that I'll need to plan on getting some quality car washing accessories to keep it looking like it's meant to!

Guess I asked for it!

I'd always had a dream of a HUGE, mean looking truck - black of course! Used to argue w/my then fiance about it. He said it was the WORST color to keep clean! Who knew that for once he REALLY knew what he was talking about?
When I bought my truck I was shopping by price & when I found this 1, it was just a fluke it was black! I was thrilled! Then, reality set in - I live in Buffalo - snow capital of the world!
As you can see by my ID I love cows. I kinda thought of getting the truck painted in a cow theme but I found I don't have to spend the $$ to do that! After just 1 day of winter driving here I have enough "white" spots on him so that he looks like a cow! I cannot keep the truck clean - I have to use a car wash & by the time I drive home you can't tell it was washed!
I don't know if I'd get black again while I'm living here but it IS my favorite color! Ask any woman & they'll tell you - black is basic, classic & makes you look thinner! LOL!
