which service manual?

I think it's about time I got to know my truck a little better. I think I should have a service manual. Can any one reccomend a good one? I know of Chiltons, I was wondering if any one knew of something better, maybe more complete. If you know of a good one, where can it be got? (great English, eh?)
Thanks
Tom

Wit,

I have the Ford manual on CD, I bought it on EBay for about 20 buck and it is very detailed. Look around on ebay if your not opposed to buying on-line. If you want a sample of some schematics to judge, let me know i'll email a file or two.

Thanks,.... neighbor.

I hadn't though of one on CD. Who published it? Is it by someone who published in book form also? I like the option of being able to cross referance things. Untill I get a lap top, it's tough to get on the computer to bring up something quick. I can see how it would be thurough. It sounds appealing. I'll check around.

I will be pulling the intake manifold off soon. I would like to see a break down before I start. There are a couple other break downs I would like to see.

I will have to find something soon.

Thanks again Ed.

I picked up the Ford 96-02 car and truck DVD on Ebay.
I do miss having the hard copy to page thru but it has everything I need. The DVD is required to be in the drive every time you want to use it.
Search Ebay for "Ford service manual" CD or DVD.

Question

Any idea if they cover the Lightnings? I browsed the ones I could find on ebay, and did not see anything specific... I mean I know that basically they're the same as the F-150 4x2 shorty, but I'm interested in keeping up with things like TSB's specific to the supercharged 5.4L . Thanks! :-)
