Wendy's founder Dave Thomas passed away today.

A friend of mine has a neighbor in Daytona Beach who used to work for Dave Thomas at his house and said he was a great guy. He even furnished her house for her when she retired from working for him as his maid.
Everyone go to Wendy's and have a big 'ole burger in Dave's memory.

Much to my dismay, the news that Dave Thomas had died saddened me. Thinking about why his passing affected me so, I realized he was like the one uncle we all had (or should have) who was always there and never had a bad thing to say about anything.
I'm going to miss seeing him in commercials.
Yes, he was an adopted infant who not only made good, but he did good too.
