I could not believe it but Ford only had the Lincoln Blackwood as an offering. The rest were GM and Dodge. They ragged on the wimpy Dodge powerplants. The 5.9L only makes 10 more HP than the 4.7L!
I still do not understand Chevy's ads for this ugly beast. They say part SUV and part Pickup. Nothing on the vehicle is SUV. SUV's have a closed back that is the same height as the top of the vehicle. They should say part truck, part open aired, rattling, dirt-in-the-back of your head flavor-of-the-day vehicle.

Yea, with the exception of the Aztek, it's the roughest looking thing out there.... They've been out a while now and and I still shake my head everytime one drives buy. Just can't belive anyone would pay 35 grand for one of those... They've got a new one coming out this month where they took most of the plastic off and called it a Cadillac. I'm sure some fool will pay 45 grand for it!
I am amazed that Dodge didn't get the nod. They were the only manufactuer that had a new/redesigned model this year. Ford will get that BS award next year when they change the styling. And besides 450,00+ F-series trucks sold last year is better than a BS award from a magazine that only likes imports.

For you guys that may be interested in an Avalanche purchase, like one of my friends (he's a moron anyway). GM is offering $4000 in dealer cash on an Avalanche. The salesman hinted at even more on an orange one (yuk!). They had about 25 of them and almost half were orange. We test drove one, they are nice vehicles (to drive) but you would be better off to just buy a Suburban IMO.
at least it didn't make 4x4 of the year with 4wheel and offroad anyway. they said it was sluggish, cumbersome, and the plastic cladding was removing itself while offroading the thing. bet that would have been fun to see.
