Gun rack?

Hi,

I am looking for a better gun rack for my f-150 super crew without the sliding rear window. I have one of the suction cup mount types but they aren't very sturdy - they keep on snapping and the suction cups don't always work when it is really cold. Does anyone here have one that has a better mounting system?

Thanks,
Charlie

PS. I'm not a psycho or anything, just a hunter and fisherman that wants to carry his guns/rods out of the way so the dogs don't damage them. Thanks!

Cool

Of course you're not a psycho, you're a gun owner. Wish I could help you on the gun rack.

Try www.cabelas.com and do a search for gun racks. They will have some and they usually have pretty good stuff.

Just a hint about suction cups. If you want it to stay stuck on a window for a long time, moisten the cup with a thin film of petroleum jelly. The cup will stay for years.

You wouldn't believe what i saw the other night

I was in Laramie with a friend of mine and we were at the ranch i work at during the summer and i started to talking to this guy in the saloon and we got to talking about guys.....anyways.....we go out to his truck to see what he has.........and he pulls out a Coachman 12ga. which is loaded of course, then he pulls out a rifle (i forget exactly what it was), which was also loaded, and a .45 Colt revolver, also loaded, with enough extra ammunition to start a small war.

-some people scare me.

nothin wrong

nothing wrong with the gun rack. to be legal im many states you have to have you firearms visible from the outside or its a concealed weapon. concealed weapons are a no no in many states.

the guy with 3 guns in the truck is not that bad. A shotgun, rifle and handgun. Its what we carry around on the farm in the truck. Though sometimes only 2 out of the three. Many times there are 2 or 3 rifles and a handgun in the farm truck. as for them being loaded well a guns not much good if its not loaded. what exactly is enough ammo for a small war?

Thanks for the info. For now I'll try out that trick. Sometime soon I'll stop by walmart and check for the kind that stick in the rubber. Last time I looked at the local one they only had the suction cup ones and the ones that were screwed to the cab. I'll take a look at Cabelas too. They're probably better quality, but I'd hate to order one and have it not fit.

Thanks,
Charlie
