New Year's Eve - plans anyone?

Well, considering the snow that we've just gotten I think I'll be spending tje evening here at home. I'm not much of a party person but I had planned to go to the "First Night" celebration in downtown Bufffalo. For those who never heard of this, it's a N/A nite of free entertainment ranging from small plays to various bands & comedy clubs & you move from 1 location to another.
Well, between the weather, no parking due to snow clogged streets & the fact that I now have a terrible cold I would rather stay home & stay warm!
I'll pop into chat at some point so if anyone else has no plans like me, stop by ok? I'm sure I can use the company!
Have a good time if you do go out - stay safe & don't drink & drive!!!!! I want to see all of you here on the boards for a long time to come! Happy 2002!

I'm going to sit in my own sorrow and wish I had a g/f to share new year with. New year's night I'm thinking about going to my parents party and get drunker than a SOB. But I'll sleep there, not to drive drunk....

Maybe I'll find a date on such short notice I did 5 years ago but that was more of a double dare (she was hot) I asked and she said yeah? I was too shocked so I never called her LOL I mean she was very um... hot

CL I may see you on the 31st (On MSN)... Take care

I traditionally drink too much and fall asleep shortly after twelve. I don't think I will break the tradition this year. We will be at a friends with in walking distance. No driving needed.

There is always next year to do something, right?

eph1fifty,
don't feel bad man i am gonna go to my baby sisters boyfriends party.....guess my b/f could care less to see me since he has made no mention of any plans. since i get numb after 1 drink and drunk after 2 i probably won't even make it to midnight...and to make things worse they started salting the roads out here in michigan so i am stuck with the rice burner and not my beloved King Ranch screw.

hey ya'll,

Big party at my house. We have one every year. Bring the kids and join us. If you can't make it, try next year, and have a happy and safe New year's this year. Rich

I remember when I used to go out and party.....later on, we decided that it is safer to be in the house on amateur night.....we'd go out to dinner and then go home early and party.....then kids came and we stayed in for a few years...then started going out to dinner with them.....how times change.........now, my daughter is going out to a friends house......Man, can't someone stop this clock?

Hey Cowlady,

I'm staying home with the little family. We are having the traditional southern New Years Day dinner with ham, collard greens and black eyed peas with rice better known as Hopping Johns down here. I'll drink some cheap champaign or a beer or two and probably fall asleep as others have mentioned. Getting old you know, and after keeping up with a 2-1/2 year old son all day there's not much energy left to do anything else, ifin ya know what I mean

Enjoy your time with someone you care about and just sit back and relax, that's my advise.
