Buffalo has gone & done it now!

See what happens when you get 450,000+ people praying for snow? YOU GET SNOW - at the rate of 5"/HOUR!
I'm in Rochester - I hightailed it out of Buffalo JUST in the nick of time yesterday. When I left visibility was horrible & it had JUST started to snow - like w/in the last minute or so! I knew it was a now or never deal so I FLEW as fast as I could. Maybe 10 miles away it was sunny & clear! Now I am enjoying a GREEN Christmas & loving every second of it! Hmmm - wonder when I'll be able to go back? Probably I can count on May or June as a safe bet! LOL!
Best part is - all the people who prayed for snow (NOT ME!) are now complaining about the shoveling, driving, airport being shut - well, they asked for it! Merry Christmas Buffalo from SUNNY & CLEAR Rochester! ROFL!

I know what you mean about that good old lake effect snow Cowlady as I seen many of snow storms when I lived in Michigan and seen a few when I was at Fort Drum NY near Watertown NY in fact the day before I got out of the Army back in 88 we got 9" of the stuff. Now I live in TN and we don't get much maybe 4" to 6" of the stuff all winter long sometimes more and a good year we get none of it.

Buffalo now has 18" and it is still sonwing at a rate of 2" per hour! We had snowfall almost as fast as during last years blizzard but because of the holiday no one is stranded in there cars on the way home from work.

Skyway is closed, the airport is closed, visibility is near zero in some spots, they are forcasting 9" of snow per day for the next 3 days. Ahh, winter is back in Buffalo!

Change if address?????

Looks like I may be here a bit longer than I'd planned - maybe I should have all mail sent here permanently! LOL!
Jon - which day if any would be a better travel day? I hate the thruway since it's so wide open & the snow blows horizontally - makes it REAL hard to see! Have they given any indication as to when things will settle down? Don't get me wrong - I love my Mom but I'd kind of like to get home too - eventually! LOL!
Thanks for your help - bye from a very GREEN Rochester!
