Question Big snacks for the big game!

OK, it's a lame post, but I'm bored out
of my mind. It's a slow work day. Here goes.

Superbowl Sunday will be here before long, so
I'm looking for any interesting food suggestions.
I typically make dips or finger foods like shrimp or
hot wings. Any suggestions would be appreciated,
no matter how unusual. Of course since this is the
big game, any recipe involving alcohol is a plus!

Well, are there any infamous big-game snack
recipes out there??

Trapper, its just a variation on a dip but .......instead of putting a dip in a plain ole bowl.....get a nice round loaf of bread and cut it into a bowl.....use the insides to dip...........Alcohol?.....Jello Shots always work.......

Chocolate Ice cream
Make some real whip cream dont buy that fake crap
Milk
Blender
Baileys Irish Cream

Make a friggen Ice cream shake, slam the baileys in there and forget that your team isnt in the game

Or Nachos -
1 pound ground beef
Brown it adding the following -
Cumin
Chili Pepper
Paprika
Salt
Pepper
and I add one green pepper and a small jalepeno

Fry your own corn tortillas and break for the chips.

Cook some black beans and mash, put some lard or crisco in a pan season beans with parika and salt-pepper
Throw into lard and fry (re fried beans)

Lay meat over corn chips, layer beans, add tomatoes, peppers lettuce whatever else cheese obviously. Pepper jack is my favorite.

I should have a ton I was a Chef in my former life before I made a career change but Ive been up to long.

Good ideas. My favorite is grilled jumbo
shrimp wrapped in bacon. Expensive but
well worth it.

S'crewloose, that bread bowl idea is one that
I use every year. It's called hot cheese loaf.
Start out with hawaiian bread, hollow it out.
Combine dried beef, cheddar cheese, pimentos,
sour cream, green chilies and worcesteshire.
Serve with Fritos or tostitos.

I'm getting hungry. Thank God it's time for lunch.

Ice cold spicy perfectly poached 16/20 shrimp. I already have 8 lbs in the freezer.

The key to making this shrimp is to peel and devein the shrimp, saving the shells.

In a pot, boil the shells to extract the flavor. Dump in crab boil. The kind that already has salt in it. Make it really really strong. Add more cayenne pepper if you can stand it. Drop the shrimp in. As soon as it barely comes back to the boil, remove from heat and let it sit. After about 5 minutes, start tasting the shrimp. As soon as it's just cooked, dump in enough ice to stop the cooking. Then refrigerate the whole thing, testing a shrimp every so often. When the shrimp is sufficiently spiced, take the shrimp out and serve.

You gotta use enough crab boil to counteract the icing at the end. If you don't use enough, the flavor won't get into the shrimp.

Follow the above and your shrimp won't be over cooked and it will be perfectly seasoned.

I might do a crispy batter fried chicken too.

BTW, I'm not all that great a cook but everybody who has the privilege of eating my shrimp says it's the best. I'm more into baking and making ice cream.
