We got a dusting of snow in Central Iowa today. Thats it so far this year. Just a dusting. Last year at this time we were up to our knees in snow. It was alot of fun. Machines with internal combustion engines throwing snow, 4HIGH all the way to work and back...rescuing people along the way. This year no such luck. Hoping it changes soon. Everything that grew is dead so it might as well be covered in snow. Makes it look prettier...Oh well...

We got about about 6-8" last Saturday night. Mostly gone now except for those ugly piles caused by the plows. Now there is sand on the streets preventing us from riding our bikes. We need rain more than snow. You can have ours FREE! ennis

 

Yeah I know, I've been waiting for some snow for a while now. If we don't get more snow soon, its gonna make my snow run offroad trip kinda slim. Hey iacrow150, you wanna get together and do some wheelin. I've got a big get together comin up soon with F150s comin from MO, MN, IL, IN, and IA. Also have rangers and broncoIIs comin from IL, MO, IA, and NE. Should be a blast.

 

yhea, I'd just like some cold weather. I'm running AC and wear shorts right now.

 

It was 80+ degrees today. I was sweating. It's hard to get into the Christmas spirit when it's 80 degrees.

we have had 1 LIGHT frezze and cool weather 50's. yesterday it was 75. was wearing shorts until about a week ago.

i was in nawlenes over the thanksgiving week till sat morn. it was great weather. i miss it, i had a blast there, our hotel was on burbon street.

 

If its going to be colder outside, we might as well get the snow to go with it too for added fun! Of course, I can look out my window and watch the ski hill make snow in the meantime... The most snow I've seen this year was back in October up at the cabin in Northern MN. Been pretty blah since. That storm after thanksgiving dropped piddly squat on the south side of town...

 

haven't had any here yet. last year by now we were in the thick of it. doesn''t snow soon and i'm gonna have to try and sneak the snowmobile onto one of the ski hills where they are making the stuff

 

Hey even in the great white north we have no snow yet. Even the snow blower sits idle. Here is a picture taken last year at this time.

 

the only good thing is that we know it's inevitable, it will come. i just hope when it does it makes up for all this snowfree weather we're having right now
