Time to introduce ourselves!
My name is Justin. My parents call me Jay or JR. My friends call me Ox (hence "Blue Ox"). My three year old nephew calls Uncle J but it usually comes out sounding something like Uh uh J. Oh, he also calls me "The big mean bull" cause he thinks he is a rodeo cowboy, and yep, you guessed it, I get to be the mean bull.

Well Pickupman - join the club. It's the same for me & I'm going nuts not working. I have been trying to help my Mom - she lives 90 miles away & isn't feeling all that great so I have been going out to stay with her & living off savings too but they are rapidly melting away.
Good luck to both of us - hopefully we'll find the PERFECT job & be happier as a result.
You guys sure have nice names & interesting stories. I'm enjoying this thread - I feel like I'm getting to know everyone even better that before! Keep the replies coming - there's still a LOT of you who haven't answered! HINT - HINT!

My name is Charlie. Married to a wonderful wife for over 23 years. We have two Sons. Michael (16) and Aaron (13).
By trade, I am a sales & service advisor for a national chain that sells light-duty and heavy-duty truck parts (specializing in drive train related items). Previously, I spent about 14 years rebuilding manual transmissions, differentials, and transfer cases. The x17 in my username is derived from the Ford model of a Supercab designation truck. Of course, now everyone knows where the gearman comes from. Happy Holidays to all.
I also spend time as a bearderd man in a red & white suit.

Hey Angela,
My first name is David, my middle name is Godfrey and my last name is Farris. My friends call me Dave and some call me "G" for you know what. I was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana in 1959, moved to Austin Texas in 1966 and then to Charleston South Carolina in 1967. I’ve been in Charleston ever since and now live outside of Charleston in a small town called Summerville. My parents were originally from Charleston and Summerville and now we are back in this area except for one sister who lives in Alabama. I've got two brothers and two sisters. I’m happily married and have one Son.
One of my better friends used to call me DaveMan the Tool Man because I've got just about every tool known to man, well almost, and he used to like to borrow them. Hence, the code name DaveMan.
Hey Trapper,
You didn't like the name David but my only other choice was Godfrey so my guess is that if you were me you'd go by David too
Some personal Heritage I’m proud to mention:
Actually, I'm pretty proud to have the middle name Godfrey since there was an important relative of mine, with that last name, called Colonel John Godfrey. He was actually my GGGG grand father. He came to Charleston from the Island of Barbados but was originally from England. Colonel John Godfrey was the Deputy to Three Lords Proprietors during the reign of King Charles II of England. Colonel Godfrey’s deeds are recorded in the official Shaftsbury papers published in England. The original settlers landed at a place now known as Charles Towne Landing on the Ashley River. There is a historic park there now in memory of the original landing site and all the history of the events that took place then. The settlers then moved to the peninsula of Charles Towne which is bounded by the Ashley and Cooper rivers. He reportedly layed out and surveyed the present city of Charles Towne, on the peninsula, in about 1680 to be much later named Charleston. The colony of Charles Town was officially founded in 1670 and the Colonel helped with laying out the streets and city landmarks we still use today. The Colonel was apparently an Engineer as well as an Attorney which enabled him to document as well as discover. As payment for his services to the King, he was granted vast areas of land and privileges. Over time, with only one son and all of his son's children being daughters, all the land was lost. In those days, women were not allowed to own land. I’m just a regular citizen with no special privileges or inherited land I can call my own except for the ¾ acre I now own and live on in Summerville of which my wife and I paid for ourselves.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and God bless to all members and their families,
DaveMan

The name is to the left! Grew up in southern MD til I was 14, moved to Boca Raton, FL. After some college, at age 20 I joined the USMC. Went to Beaufort, SC for Boot Camp, Camp Lejeune, NC for school, then off to Camp Pendleton, CA (Some east coast guarantee!). Married a jerk from Brooklyn NY (also a Marine), dumped him 5 years later, then married a guy the ex couldn't stand (non-coincidentally, ALSO a Marine!)! LOL, I kill me! We have been married since 98, moved from CA to N'awlins, LA (HATED IT!), then to Atlanta, GA where we reside now. Hubby retired from the USMC in August at the ripe young age of "less than 40"!
We are expecting a new arrival on Feb 6th, a girl, to be named Anastasia - "Asia" or "Stasia" for short. I am currently a full time student, in HOT pursuit of a Law Degree. But, since I'm pregnant, I'll be sitting out for the spring sememster. This will be our (my) first child! We can't wait!
When I first joined F150online, I posted quite regularly, but since getting pregnant, quitting my full time job as an overnite stocker at "Stall-Mart" and going to school full time, I just don't have any time!
Ok, this is enough for now. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL OF YOU!!

Weird name, huh? Anyway, I'm 34 and have lived in Houston all my life. The last six years have been spent with the best woman in the world, Glinda. Also for the last six years, We've been traveling ALL over the country as a requirement of her (well paying) job. She works for the last touring company of the Phantom of the Opera, and it's still scheduled through 2003. They are adding dates all the time. Someday it will end, I hope.
Once we get home, we plan to fix up the house we live in(actually, we only visit it twice a year, LOL!) If you've never seen my truck before, keep an eye out, you just might
