Unhappy

Hello Flea, sorry to hear your news, but I think your lady will soon be ok....symptoms of tumour mostly start with less frequent, less intense headaches, rather than the sudden onset of serious pain which you describe. If she has had no other symptoms, such as problems with vision, hearing etc, then it probably isnt a tumour, and she will get better.
All the best
Hughie

Best of luck to her Flea. I'll say a little prayer.
It's not a good feeling to NOT be in control of
any situation. It can leave you feeling a little
helpless sometimes. It's hard to accept that
somethings are beyond our control. Keep
faith in God. I'll be thinking of ya'll.

Sorry to hear about that, man. I have no idea what I would do in your position, I am not very good at dealing with sad situations, not very good at all, but I am glad to hear that y'all don't think it's serious or anything, and that she is home and not in the hospital. I'll pray for you and her both, man. Good luck, and we all support ya!

You gotta be strong and positive, especially around her. You can't let her see you get worked up and worried. My wife has had a couple bouts with malignant malanoma (can be pretty deadly). It was tearing me up inside pretty good but I knew I couldn't show it. She has been clear for about 2 years straight since her last problem.

Don't let her see you sweat it.

Thumbs up

Well guys... I guess I freaked a little early. Shawna's home fine now. She's still got some pretty bad headaches, but she's home and getting over this thing finally. Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, and support.

God bless,
-Flea

Can't believe I forgot this!

DUH - I've been away from Pharmacy too long I guess or I would have thought of this sooner!
Tell Shawna to ask her doc if she's a candidate for Imitrex! It's a migraine medication & comes in 3 forms - a shot which works IMMEDIATELY, nasal spray - not as fast but still rapid & oral form - slowest but easiest to carry w/her. She may not have migraines but I believe there are other headaches it also helps. Normally, if it were a migraine I'd tell her to try caffeine - it's 1 of the primary ingredients of older migraine meds & is also very effective BUT - she should ask the doc about this too. Caffeine can also CAUSE a headache in some people.
Does she have any kind of allergies? Some people present w/severe headaches in that instance too. Maybe she should check it out - especially a food allergy. Have her keep a diary of everything she eats & see if there's any common factor when she gets a headache. That can really help - I know I cannot tolerate MSG (mono sodium glutonate) that they use in Chinese dishes & have to specify that it not be added. I also can't tolerate Aspartame (Nutrasweet) at all! I become violently ill w/a headache from both these substances!
I added Shawna's name to the Book of Intentions at Church - she's being prayed for by an entire Church now! Let her know ok? I'm sure that will help!
God Bless - take care - of BOTH of you!

Thanks Cowlady, that really means a lot that you added her name to your Church roster.

I tried giving her some of these chocolate covered coffee beans I have for headaches (when aleve doesn't work) and that seemed to help her a lot. She's slowly getting better, so I think it might even be some kind of viral infection of some sort.

Still a little confused...
